Bought from the local farm shop: Claremont Farm

  1. Savoy cabbage - 1
  2. Cheshire Smokehouse  - Smoked dry cured bacon (210g)
  3. Celery - 1
  4. Red pepper -1
  5. Aubergine -2
  6. Shallot - 2
  7. Eggs - 6 large
  8. Courgette - 2
  9. Bread - white bloomer
  10. Vine tomatoes - 6

Farm Shop Total Cost: £10.02

I've then selected, as closely as possible, the same products from the 'my supermarket' comparison website.

Supermarket Total Cost: £11.79

In terms of quantity, the only real difference is about an extra 100g worth of shallot, in the supermarket basket. However, If you offset that against the superior quality of the bacon (Cheshire Smokehouse), bread, and vegetables from the farm shop, there is no comparison!!!!

A total saving of £1.77, better quality produce and you won't end up being sucked in by the '3 for £10' offers from the Supermarket - bonus!

The end result..........
